Amir Atapour AbarghoueiData Science

New Research Associate based at Newcastle University – working with Senior Lecturer Stephen McGough and Dr Thomas Gross in the School of Computing Science.

Amir is a Ph.D. graduand from the Department of Computer Science in Durham University with a focus on computer vision, autonomous driving, 3D scene understanding and depth estimation. He received his M.Sc. degree from the Department of Computer Science at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and his B.Sc. degree from the Department of Computer Engineering at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman.

His research interests include machine learning, deep neural networks, generative models, 3D scene analysis, scene depth completion, monocular depth estimation and natural language processing.
